Star Trek Into Darkness

Star Trek Into Darkness was one of the first projects I worked on at ILM, with this being in post production at the same time as Pacific Rim, so it was a challenge working on both projects in parallel. I was responsible for supervising the asset team in Singapore as Lead Assets Artist. The major 90+ shot sequence we did for Star Trek was completed in around 5 months by the Singapore team with the US team providing art direction and VFX supervision. It required a full CG city to be built as the backdrop for a chase and fight sequence between Spock and Khan.

Sizzle reel showing many of the shots from the futuristic San Francisco environment which was built in full CG for the movie's climax.

Here is a making of video put together by the leadership team at ILM to explain this particular sequence.
